Prince Osama Erediauwa the sixth son of the Oba of Benin resigns from Gov. Oshiomhole’s administration

A statement by the Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Mr. Desmond Igunbor said the resignation decision by Prince Osama Erediauwa came after a critical assessment of the recent happenings in the state especially the State House of Assembly.

The statement noted that there is a violation of the principle of separation of powers between the arms of government, a situation which it said has plunged the state into deep crisis.

It said that there should be regard for the rule of law in which the governor is a beneficiary.

The statement said leadership at all times must be by example and described the actions of the executive as a gross abuse of power bestowed by the good people of Edo State.
